Wolves v Norwich Tip

Lambert has masterminded a great start to the season

Norwich nearly won away at Everton on Saturday but couldn't quite hold out. This is a trend we can exploit.

Norwich City have been a breathe of fresh air since their arrival in the Premier League in August. Perched ninth in the table with 25 goals scored in 16 matches, the Canaries have only been shut out twice all season. Their only achilles heel appears to be holding on to leads however - they have dropped 10 points from winning positions so far. Had they seen out those results, they would remarkably find themselves fifth in the table, above Arsenal.  John Ruddy has had some great games between the sticks, yet he still awaits a first clean sheet.

Tuesday’s opponents Wolves will be desperate to avoid a third straight defeat, with tough upcoming fixtures, another relegation dogfight beckons. At least Mick McCarthy’s side have shown some resilience at Molineux of late, particularly against the division’s less fancied sides. The win over Sunderland a couple of weeks ago came after two late Steven Fletcher goals turned the game on its head. A strong second half also secured the 3-1 win over Wigan in November, and they snatched a 2-2 draw from the jaws of defeat against Swansea.

With patterns established of Paul Lambert’s team conceding advantages, and Wolves finishing strongly at home, I think I’ve identified the perfect bet for this match. At 16/1 (StanJames) the value leaps off the page on Norwich to lead at half-time before the game ends as a draw.
