He was tied to one club, Werder Bremen, for 35 years. But is he now bound for the Premier League?
Reports are circulating that former Werder Bremen legend Thomas Schaaf will be in charge of West Bromwich Albion by the weekend.
The 52-year-old spent his entire playing career at Werder before a further 14 years as head coach ended last year. Now odds-on for the Baggies job with almost every firm, Schaaf can still be picked up at evens with Betfred.
