West Brom v Crystal Palace Preview

West Brom v Crystal Palace Preview

West Brom have the highest combined save and shot conversion % in the league, which is unlikely to go on forever.

West Brom have been terrific this season, reaching the magical 40-point mark with 12 games to spare. Credit must go the Tony Pullis, his team have been particularly impressive at the Hawthorns but I would be surprised if they didn’t cool off soon.

They might relax now they’ve reached (theoretical) safety but also their conversion rates are due a downturn. West Brom have been converting their shots and saving opponents’ at above the league average. They are riding so hot on both sides of the ball that they rank above Chelsea and Arsenal in shot and save percentages combined.

If West Brom are due a dip, it will be greatly received by Crystal Palace. As predicted, they were much improved on return from a two-week break and this is perhaps their last winnable away game before they embark on a fixture list that include visits to both Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Crystal Palace are a fair bet to win the game at 13/8 (Betfred) in the draw no bet market.
