Everton have averaged a league high 18.3 shots per game so far this season.
On the face of it Chelsea deserve to be red-hot favourites for this one but under-estimating Everton would be a grave error based on the statistics that lie just beneath the surface.
The Toffees may have drawn every league fixture to date but with 55 shots from three outings they actually top the league as an attacking threat. Roberto Martinez’s boys also lead the league for average possession enjoyed (64.1%) and it generally look like better times are just around the corner.
