Everton v Chelsea Tip

Both teams are on excellent form and an exciting score draw could be on the cards.

Everton have won this fixture three seasons in a row by scores of 2-1, 1-0 and 2-0 so Goodison Park is anything but a happy hunting ground for Chelsea. However, the bookies still make the Londoners favourites for this one (6/4 PaddyPower) and given their recent spectacular form that is understandable.

But the Toffees are seven matches unbeaten in the top flight and haven’t lost on their own patch in 13, dating right back to March. I therefore think the most likely outcome is a draw (23/10 Bet365) which one would imagine either manager would be ok with, at least prior to kick-off. That would push the London Blues back into third spot with a game-in-hand while the Merseysiders would remain in touch with the other sides chasing a top-four finish.

So what will the score be? I don’t envisage Chelsea being shutout with their current attacking potency and Everton have conceded in all of their last 14 league outings. But on the flip side the hosts have also scored in 16 consecutive league games; both are the current longest streaks in the division.

Moyes’ boys have already played out four 2-2 draws in 2012-13 and at a best price 14/1 (BetVictor) I could easily see another one being added to the collection.
