Chelsea v Everton Tip

Moyes will be desperate for one final flourish while the hosts probably stopped caring on Wednesday night.

This match will be a swan song for both managers but I suspect David Moyes will be the one most anxious to go out on a high.

He leaves Everton after 11 years in charge and victory would give the Toffees a club record 66 points in a Premier League season. Although sixth place is already guaranteed, the new Manchester United boss will be desperate to depart with one final notable scalp.

The away fans will be in good voice and one suspects that the visiting players will also want to put on a performance for Moyes’s farewell. At best odds of 9/2, an Everton win could be on the cards.

Although Chelsea have been on fire recently, their season really ended on Wednesday night in Amsterdam. Europa League glory coupled with the promise of Champions League football in 2012-13 means that the main objectives have been accomplished.

The hosts would like to win to cement third spot, but I wonder if they will still be a little bleary-eyed from a few days of partying. Furthermore, Benitez has proven his point regardless of Sunday’s outcome.
