York Tips: Accepted

His sire won the race in 2010 and given the way he overcame unfavourable conditions at Tipperary he could make it a family double.

The betting for the Gimcrack (3.15 York) has largely followed the official ratings but Accepted could prove the fly in the ointment.

He won a decent maiden at the Curragh on his debut and the Gimcrack must have been on the agenda ever since.

His father Approve won the race in 2010 and Accepted can follow in his footsteps.

Last time out at Tipperary he won despite everything going against him. Poorly drawn in stall 1 he was forced to race alone for a large part of the race and 5f is probably on the sharp side for him.

To win a Listed race under those circumstance means he’s probably better than a 7/1 (BetVictor) shot.
