Yarmouth Tips: Jamaican Bolt

High-class performer on soft ground but still looks extremely well handicapped.

It has been a long time coming but Jamaican Bolt should finally return to a racetrack in the 4.55 Yarmouth.

He finished 2012 looking like a smart sprinter, finishing only 0.25 lengths behind the excellent Jack Dexter, now rated 110+.

He confirmed his promise by running another fine race at Doncaster at the start of this season, only getting run down in the last 200 yards, to be expected as 6f stretches his stamina.

Unfortunately that was the last we saw of him. All his form has come on soft ground and his long absence is because connections were waiting for the right conditions; he’s been a late non-runner on countless occasions this year because of the ground.

Rated 95 there is plenty of headroom left in his mark and as long as the ground hasn’t dried out too much he will be very difficult to beat over 5f at 5/2 (Stan James).
