Kempton Tip: Theydon Grey

Kempton Tip: Theydon Grey

Won first two starts on the all-weather and step up in trip brought about further improvement at Yarmouth. Should strip fitter for the run and back on the AW.

Back to back wins at Chelmsford last season marked Theydon Grey out as an all-weather specialist to follow and although he lost his way slightly, Peter Charalambous has found further improvement by stepping him up in trip.

Last time out he tackled 11.5f for the first time and can be counted an unlucky loser. Travelling better than anything he was trapped on the rail and by the time he switched into the clear the winner had flown.

Considering his misfortune, he still clocked a good speed rating and all this came on turf. In the 7.20 Kempton he races over 11f and back on his preferred synthetic surface he can win.
