Wolverhampton Tips: Watt Broderick

I was desperately hoping connections could find a 0-75 handicap at 2-miles for Watt Broderick because he’s almost certainly unbeatable in that grade.

Unfortunately, marathon trips at Wolverhampton are few and far between but I cannot let him go un-backed even thought this is a 0-85 handicap.

Last time out he finished fourth in a blanket finish but he comes out best on sectional ratings having come from further back than his rivals.

The finishing speed was 106.9% of the overall speed, which suggests the race wasn’t run at a breakneck gallop but it was still good enough to lower the course record.

To run a fast time in a sub-optimal manner takes some doing and that makes Watt Broderick one to watch.
