Wolverhampton Tips: Top Cop
Ran a rapid 21.84s closing sectional last time and the application of eye-shield and blinkers usual brings out a slight improvement.
Top Cop is fiendishly difficult to win with as a strike rate of 2-58 testifies but if he is ever to get is head in front it will be in the 4.15 Wolverhampton.
Last time out at Lingfield he ran a great race from a poor draw. Held up in rear behind a steady gallop (105.2% finishing speed) he showed a great turn of foot to cover the final 2f in a rapid 21.84s. The fastest closing sectional of the race, quicker than Rocket Rob who won his next start.
Ron Harris has reached for the eye-shields and blinkers and that usually improves Top Cop’s performance. His record when switching to this headgear combination is 12234 although the effects usually wear off after one run.
Well drawn in stall 2 and with plenty of pace around him, this is his chance at 8/1 (Bet365).
