Wolverhampton Horse Racing Tips: Steelcut
Two wins from three starts over course and distance, he has ideal conditions again.
No Mean Trick is favourite at 11/4 (Bet365) for the 4.20 at Wolverhampton but it is rather a case of ‘after the Lord Mayor’s show’ as he was 66/1 on his last start, which he won. He might win again but doesn’t offer any value.
Course specialist Steelcut is much more attractive at 7/1 with Boylesports. He has raced on Wolverhampton’s five furlong track three times in his career, winning twice.
He likes to be held up in his races so a wide draw isn’t an inconvenience and with Grand Stitch forcing the pace he will get the strong gallop he needs.
Having scored in much better company during his career, Steelcut is just a better horse than his rivals. With conditions to suit, he is the value play.
