Wolverhampton Tips: Scarlet Bounty
Had excuses on soft turf and ran much better than tenth place finish on last AW start.
Having beaten six horses home in her last four starts there might seem little to recommend Scarlet Bounty but she is much better than the bare form.
For starters we can chuck out three of those runs as they came on good to soft going, whilst her best form (and sole victory to date) has come on good to firm.
Last month she finished 10th on her first all-weather start but was only beaten 5.75 lengths in mitigating circumstances.
From stall 12, Tony Hamilton had to use hold-up tactics and ride her for luck. Unfortunately, the leaders never came back but she ran the third fastest closing sectional and earned an adjusted speed rating of 56.
This evening she takes a significant drop in class for a 0-62 handicap. Her speed rating is good enough to win at this level and if she has enough early pace (first start at 5f) then she should outrun odds of 9/1 (Bet365).
