Wolverhampton Tips: Red Cape

Winner over C&D last week but seemed to have plenty left up his sleeve.

There was a lot to like about Red Cape’s victory over course and distance six days ago, enough to think that a 6lbs penalty won’t stop him winning the 6.30 at Wolverhampton this evening.

Ruth Carr’s eight-year-old could be called the winner a long way out, he was travelling that well. When the jockey asked for an effort, Red Cape quickly put the race to bed, winning by an easy two-lengths.

The horse looked a cut above his rivals and now that he has found form he is very difficult to oppose. At 9/2 with Ladbrokes I’d be surprised if he didn’t land back to back wins.
