Powerful Pierre is overpriced for the 3.40 Wolverhampton considering he has won his last three starts at the venue.
The 6-year-old has improved massively since moving to Ollie Pears during the summer and his all-weather record for his new trainer reads: 2431112.
Last time out at Lingfield he was one of only two horses to make any headway from off the pace, the other horse Jungle Bay went onto win his next start and Powerful Pierre’s performance also deserves upgrading.
Well drawn in stall 2 and already a winner in this grade, I’d be very surprised if he didn’didn’t go close again at 13/2 (Befred).
