Wolverhampton Tips: Mukaynis
Ran a 21.7s (wind assisted) sectional at Lingfield and probably would have won with a clear passage.
It can be galling backing a horse at a fraction of their overnight price but early shows are often a mirage, with bookmakers betting to small liabilities.
Mukaynis is currently 5/2 (Betfred) to win the 1.10 Wolverhampton and that is at least half a point too big.
He was unlucky last time out, he raced in rear from a wide draw only to find his progress hampered in the home straight.
Mukaynis ran the final 2f at Lingfield in 21.71s, the time was wind assisted but he was still the second fastest finisher in the race.
Given a clear passage and/or better draw, he would have won and this afternoon’s contest is a weaker race.
