Wolverhampton Tips: Minister Of Fun
Looked a very well handicapped horse but something went wrong last time and he finished tailed off. Must be given a second chance.
I usually steer clear of amateur races because the jockeys are more likely to make mistakes but with Minister Of Fun being priced at 16/1 (Bet365) we are rewarded for the risk.
The 4-year-old looked an incredibly well handicapped horse on his last start, hence why he was sent off at 9/2 in a class 4 contest, unfortunately he finished tailed off as if something was amiss.
Whatever the issue it can’t have been too serious because he is back racing again after a 74-day break.
Two starts back, he won a Southwell maiden in a time only 0.7s slower than a good quality class 3 handicap on the same card. His closing sectional was also fast and he ran like an 80+ rated horse.
If returning to that form he will be hard to beat in this grade.
