Wolverhampton Tips: Lord Of The Storm

Hasn’t quite got the tactics right in his last two races; once going too fast, once too slow. It could be third time lucky.

Habeshia is favourite to complete a hat-trick in the 5.10 Wolverhampton but this is his toughest assignment and the price is prohibitive.

At much bigger odds, Lord Of The Storm can run a good race.

After a two-year absence, he returned to the track in mid-July and he’s steadily been regaining his form.

Two starts back he was undone by chasing an overly strong pace therefore he was ridden with more restraint on his next start. Unfortunately, Ryan While over-did the waiting tactics.

He was held-up off a slow gallop, where the finishing speed was 106.7% of the overall race speed.

Lord Of The Storms could never land a blow, but he finished strongly to get within one length of the winner. He ran the final 2f in 23.3s and can be rated the best horse in the race.

Drawn in stall 3 he should be able to keep tabs on the leaders and at 12/1 (William Hill) he is a big price considering his performances in adverse pace scenarios.
