Wolverhampton Tips: Kenny Powers
Showed a high level of form when runner up in a Listed contest at Lingfield last year.
The 2.20 Wolverhampton is a valuable Listed contest but it lacks strength in depth. Kenny Powers and Regal Parade are the only horses rated over 100 and apart from perhaps Solar Deity, the rest look exposed off their current marks.
I’m expecting class will come to the fore and Kenny Powers will take the spoils.
He arrives in good form having enjoyed a productive winter in Dubai. Although he failed to win, he picked up valuable prize money in competitive handicaps.
Around this time last year, he finished second to the smart Gusto in Lingfield’s Spring Cup. That is a level of form which his rivals are yet to match. At 9/4 (Betfred) he is the best bet in the race.
