Wolverhampton Tips: House Of Commons

Wolverhampton Tips: House Of Commons

Lightly raced and down to a sensible handicap mark. Step-up in trip after finishing midfield, 7f on the short side last time out.

On a tricky day’s punting, there has been some early money for House Of Commons and it’s not difficult to see why. He is lightly raced and one of only two 3-year-olds in the line-up and therefore open to the most improvement.

His season didn’t get under way until June but he started with a bang, winning a maiden at Ripon. Life has been tough in handicaps since then with an opening mark of 83 but he’s down to 74 and is in the right grade.

Two starts back he finished seventh over a mile at Kempton but that was run in a fast time for the grade and his adjusted speed rating of 71 is usually good enough to win most class 5 handicaps.

Last time over 7f, he was staying on at the finish but didn’t have the early speed for the shorter trip. He’s up to 8.5f this afternoon and is the best bet on an admittedly poor day.
