Wolverhampton Tips: Here Now And Why

Last run can be excused after he was forced to race very wide. He still looks in good form, having recorded two wins since joining Ian Semple in the summer.

Nothing went right for Here Now And Why when I tipped him last time out. He was forced to race three wide around the turn. The extra distance he had to travel was significant, so it is to his great credit that he was only beaten 3.25 lengths.

Drawn in stall 11 there is a danger he could be unlucky again in the 3.20 at Wolverhampton. However, we have seen horses win from double figure stalls lately and I think the betting often overreacts to the draw at the track.

His record over five furlongs since joining Ian Semple is 4116, with that last run excused. He enjoyed one of those wins in a higher grade, suggesting this type of race is certainly within his sphere.

The handicapper actually dropped the horse 2lbs for his last performance, which seems overly generous. That will not be the determining factor to whether he wins or not, but it all helps. At 14/1 with Stan James, I am relying on Robert Winston getting a good position for a horse he has won on before.

11.07 Price Update
The 14/1 has gone but there is still 12/1 available with Bet365 and Boylesports. I would consider backing this horse at anything down to 8/1.
