Wolverhampton Tips: Hardy Black
Jamie Osborne has a 34% strike rate in all-weather sellers and a drop in trip and class should help this front-runner.
Hardy Black isn’t the most consistent of horses but I think he’s been found a winning opportunity in the 4.40 Wolverhampton.
Three starts back he ran a career best in defeat at Kempton. Lit up by first time blinkers he chased a stronger than ideal pace, clocking a 95% finishing speed compared to average race speed.
Hardy Black was overtaken in the last 100 yards and did extremely well to finish only one length behind the winner considering he was tiring rapidly.
Dropped in trip and in class he should get a softer lead and Jamie Osborne is a master at exploiting selling races.
Over the last five seasons, Osborne has a 34% strike rate (15-44) in all-weather sellers.
