Wolverhampton Tips: Frequency

Looked ahead of the handicapper two outings ago, and last run can be ignored when forced to race wide.

I have already eulogised on the fantastic debut season of Keith Dalgleish, but it is worth repeating before the 4.40 at Wolverhampton today. In his first year of training, he has sent out 27 winners, with a 14% strike rate, which improves to 23% on the all-weather.

Joe Fanning has been on board for the majority of those winners with a 26% strike rate and £58.50 level stakes profit on all his rides. The combination team up again with Frequency this afternoon.

The first thing to like about this horse is his attitude. He has won 8 of his 37 starts and for a moderate handicapper that is an excellent ratio. He is also versatile, equally effective over six or seven furlongs.

Last time out he slightly disappointed, but was forced to race very wide, compromising his chances. Before that he had won a class five handicap at Wolverhampton by 1.5 lengths and I don’t think the handicapper has got his measure yet.  The favourite Bavarian Princess has obvious claims but at 8/1 (Stan James) Frequency is the value.
