Wolverhampton Tips: Fathsta
Won his last start over course and distance and still competitive in this grade.
I was happy to take on Fathsta when he raced twelve days ago at Catterick but he ran a good race after predictably being outpaced over a sharp 6f. Returning to Wolverhampton, the scene of his last victory, I am much more confident of his chances.
At 8-years-old, Fathsta is nowhere near his prime but in class 5 and class 6 handicaps he will always be competitive. Crucially he knows where the winning post is, he’s won 14 times during his career and is 7-28 on the all-weather.
Silvestre De Sousa has a decent 16% strike rate for owner Dr Marwan Koukash and I expect Fathsta to go close at 6/1 (Bet365).
