Wolverhampton Tips: Fanrouge

The 5.50 Wolverhampton is a peculiar claimer with a distinct divide in the ability of the participants. Four of the horses have official ratings in the 80s; the problem is predicting which one of them is going to run to their mark.

Of the quartet, Fanrouge is the most attractive betting option. She won her first start of the season over 5f and acquitted herself well when tried in listed company. She will also enjoy the strong gallop in the race, with several confirmed front-runners in the line-up.
Best at the weights, it seems Malcolm Saunders is willing risk losing the filly at the claiming box in return for a win. It is a bold move and she is overpriced at 11/4 (Boylesports).
