Wolverhampton Tips: Doctor Parkes

Been running well in a much higher grade and well suited by the probable strong pace.

Doctor Parkes shaped like he was returning to form on his last start when he was beaten only 3-lengths in a class 2 contest. Today he drops down a couple of levels for the 7.20 Wolverhampton.

Eric Alston’s 6-year-old has never won on anything worse than good and with the recent wet weather, his chances of finding firm conditions on turf look slim. It’s therefore a sensible to see him start on the polytrack for the first time.

The strong pace in the race should suit his hold-up tactics and drawn nicely in stall 5 he won’t need to forfeit ground at the start to get a good position. The last time Doctor Parkes raced in class 4 company, he won and at 9/2 (Ladbrokes) he is a good price to do so again.
