Wolverhampton Tips: Desert Strike

Has a terrific strike rate at 5f on the all-weather. Guaranteed the strong pace he craves

The 4.10 Wolverhampton is a straight-forward race to analyse. There is an abundance of early pace which should set the race up for a hold-up horse.

Desert Strike loves coming off a strong gallop, especially over five furlongs. His record at the minimum trip on polytrack surfaces is excellent.

Career Record:
5f all-weather races: 8 wins from 22 starts = 36% strike rate
All other races: 2 wins from 63 starts = 3% strike rate

He looked unlucky on his last two turf starts, never quite getting the gaps he needs, but suggested he is in form. The cheek-pieces return for the first time since he switched trainers, an important aid, as all bar two of his wins have come when wearing them.

Desert Strike is quite an easy horse to predict and at 9/2 (William Hill), I am expecting a win.
