Could improve on third run after a 27-month lay-off and still has plenty of ability, only just touched off on last start.
Den Maschine might be a 10-year-old but he hasn’t many miles on the clock and retains plenty of ability judged on his last start.
On his second outing after a 27-month lay-off he ran an absolute blinder to finish a short-head second behind the in-form Aldeburgh.
The overall pace was steady (111.8% finishing speed) but he came out second best on sectional timings, the overall speed rating was good considering the slow pace and he covered the final 2f in a useful 23.7s.
He has gone up the weights as a result but racing in the same grade, he should go well again at 7/2 (Bet365).
