Wolverhampton Tips: Beat The Bell
Went a step too quick on his last race but should get an easier lead this time.
Beat The Bell hasn’t enjoyed much luck on his last two starts but he can hit the mark in the 7.40 Wolverhampton.
Two starts ago he lost the race by stumbling out of the gates, forfeiting three lengths on the field proved insurmountable as he lost by half a length.
Last week at Lingfield he broke much better but suffered almost the exact opposite problem. His jockey didn’t get the fractions right and covered the first 4f too quickly. In the last 100 yards the horse was running on empty and was nabbed on the line by Ginger Ted.
Although he steps up in class, Beat The Bell has proved capable at this level already this season, winning a class 4 contest at Goodwood. Well drawn in stall 2 and with no obvious pace-setters to challenge him for the lead, he looks the value at 4/1 (Boylesports) to score a deserved victory.
