Wolverhampton Tips: Beach Rhythm

Strong traveller who clocked a good time when winning at Southwell. Sufficiently lightly raced to suggest there is more to come.

The 5.55 Wolverhampton is a weak race contested by some poor horses but Beach Rhythm has shown enough encouragement in his career to warrant backing.

He’s clearly had his problems, this being only his 12 starts despite being a six-year-old, but a switch to sprinting has brought some improvement.

He finished a close fourth at Lingfield when setting a good gallop but not lasting home over 6f. He then looked good when winning over 5f at Southwell, travelling like the best horse and recording a decent time for the grade.

Five furlongs looks his ideal trip and although he flopped at Ffos Las on his last start, he almost certainly didn’t handle the heavy ground.

Back on the all-weather he is a different prospect and in a very moderate race he might just be the best horse.
