Wolverhampton Tips: Avonlini
Run two good races after a long summer break and should get an easy lead.
The 8.10 Wolverhampton is low-grade racing but with very little pace in the field it sets up for Avonlini to make all.
Not the most prolific winner in the world, Avonlini’s best performances have come over course and distance and often when given a soft lead.
On her last start, she couldn’t sustain the strong early gallop, eventually fading into seventh. It was still a good performance considering her fellow pacemaker, Maltease Ah, went on to win her next race.
This is Avonlini’s third start after a long summer break; therefore she should be in peak condition. With no other pace-setters in the field, she looks big at 10/1 (William Hill) given her ability to make all the running.
