Wolverhampton Tip: Sharp Shoes

Well drawn, in good form and the pace bias at the track helps this speedster.

In recent months I’ve noticed how difficult it seems to win from off the pace in Wolverhampton sprints. Even when the early lead is contested the pace holds up. With that in mind I’ve gone for Sharp Shoes in the 6.50.

A five time winner, including twice over course and distance, he is a straight forward horse. He likes to front run and dominate his rivals. Last time out he got in a four-way battle for the lead and was the only one of the quartet to contest the finish. He was beaten a neck by Captain Scooby, but it was an honourable defeat in the circumstances. Drawn in stall five he should be able to get the lead and hopefully make all at 11/2 with Stan James.
