Wolverhampton Racing Treble

Wolverhampton Treble

Some poor quality fields on the all weather suggests all these should at least place.

Not a huge amount to get excited about at Wolverhampton today but the paucity of quality means a lot of the runners can be scratched quickly.

In the 2.40 Flying Applause is dropping back in class and trip and both should suit. He ran creditably at Doncaster, when he stayed on the unfavoured stand’s rail. Despite this he finished a close third. He won last time over course and distance and should be in the mix again.

The 3.10 is a desperately weak race. Plenty of these are out of form, but at this basement level Figaro Flyer is a fair performer. He has won in 5 of his 27 starts at the track and has a strike rate that is the envy of this field. He has recently switched to the Michael Squance yard, who have success with moderate horses on the all weather. If he is close to his best, he will go well.

There is plenty of pace in the 4.10 and The Tatling is perfectly drawn in stall two to capitalise. Despite his advancing years he has been placed twice in his last two runs over course and distance. He has been unlucky not to win before now and at such a lowly level he should be able to pick up this class of race.

The treble pays 264/1 with Betfred and includes best odds guaranteed. With more than eight runners in each race it is worth placing the bet each way.
