Record over 6f on the AW this year is 122. Would have won last time but for a sluggish start.
The frustrations of horse racing were perfectly encapsulated 11 days ago with Noverre To Go. After falling out of the gates, he gave Red Cape a 4-length head start and couldn’t quite make up the deficit, going down by a neck.
It was a race he should have won, but as a result we are getting a fair price on him in the 7.20 Wolverhampton. Since joining Ron Harris his 6f record on the all-weather is: 122.
He moves back into handicap company but he’s placed at a class 4 level twice this season so he shouldn’t be outclassed.
If he can break on level terms he should go close and gain us compensation at 7/1 (Paddy Power).
