Wolverhampton Racing Tip: Straboe
With a guaranteed fast pace we recommend splitting stakes between two confirmed hold up horses.
The 5.20 at Wolverhampton is a two horse race and I advise splitting your stake evenly between two selections.
The race is purely determined by a pace angle. Of the twelve runners seven of them are prominent racers, with at least three who have to lead. The jockey’s probably have no choice; the chances of these seven horses will be badly compromised by racing too quickly.
To find the winner you need a hold-up horse, a style of racing which means the horse prefers racing from behind, coming from off a fast pace as the leaders tire.
The first selection is Straboe. His record over course and distance is 1172112. He likes coming off a fast pace and he probably would have won his last race (in a better grade) if he hadn’t reared at the start. The only thing that puts me off him is his wide draw in stall 10, there is a negative bias being that wide.
I recommend splitting your stake evenly between Straboe and Sally’s Swansong.
