Wolverhampton Racing Tip: Garstang
Beaten a nose last time out, the race should be set up for this closer to gain compensation.
The 6.20 at Wolverhampton is a race full of pace. Six of the eight runners are prominent racers and the likes of Island Legend and La Fortunata are one dimensional in the tactics they adopt. The race is likely to be set up for something from off the speed; leaving it between Methaaly and Garstang.
Given their current form it is an easy decision between the two. Methaaly hit a hot streak during the winter but has been off the boil since. His last four runs have all been below par and it is difficult to find excuses for him. A common occurrence amongst sprinters, he is simply out of form.
Garstang on the other hand ran his best race for a while when beaten a nose over course and distance ten days ago. He loves coming off a fast pace, has champion jockey Paul Hanagan on board and is primed for a good run.
