Lightly raced and shaped with promise on her first start in 260 days.
The 3.45 at Wolverhampton takes on more significance with the news that it will be The Tatling’s 176th and last race at the grand old age of 14. From a betting perspective there can be no sentiment and he looks an unlikely winner, even less than his odds suggest.
At the opposite end of the scale, Mosa Mine is having only her 10th start and is a horse I’m interested in. Now with her fourth trainer, she has had a very staccato career; this is only her second start in 10 months and she is still a maiden.
On her last start there were signs that she was coming to hand. She was travelling extremely well turning into the straight only for her run to flatten out as she finished third behind Yungaburra.
