Wolverhampton Betting Tip: Absa Lutte

Last time out she blew the race at the start and was given a sympathetic ride by her young jockey. She still finished the race better than anything.

The 5.50 at Wolverhampton is a funny race with 80% of the field confirmed hold up horses. An enterprising jockey could steal the race from the front, especially considering the kick back there has been at recent evening meetings hampering horses in behind.

Thankfully George Baker travels to Dunstall Park for the ride on Absa Lutte. Baker is one of the top jockeys around and rides the track extremely well, showing a whopping £184 level stakes profit over the last five seasons.

Absa Lutte is a horse I have tipped before; on the basis she looks well handicapped on her best form. Her last run doesn’t look very good but if you study the video she lost almost three lengths at the start. Her inexperienced jockey never put her in the race and her chance was lost before the first bend.

Amazingly she made up almost five lengths on the entire field in the home straight and was finishing better than anything. She was given a very sympathetic ride that day and if Baker rides her more prominently than of late she should bounce back to form.
