The first sprint of the day only has a handful or runners but it is actually the larger 3.20 field where it is easier to find the potential winner and that horse is Onceaponatime. The horse had a light second half to the turf season and has rightly being campaigned for the AW (only one win from eleven on turf). His last run over course and distance was the second encouraging performance in a row; staying on for second place behind Lucky Dan. That race was actually a higher class than today’s affair and contained hot horses like Ajara and Methaaly giving the form a really solid look.

There is no such opposition today. Devil You Know, Incomparable and Spin Again should ensure a solid pace which will suit Onceaponatime and the strong form in better grade should give him an edge over his rivals. Of the rest Tourist could spring a shock but you are punting on both horse and stable returning to form. Lake Chini will improve for the drop back to seven but his best recent form still shouldn’t be good enough if Onceaponatime runs close to his ability.
