Toast With A Pink Martini At Kempton

Toast With A Pink Martini At Kempton

Pink Martini won an ordinary maiden but handicapper has given her a chance off 72 considering she ran a rapid 21.82s closing sectional.

The 5.55 Kempton is a good little contest with several potentially well handicapped horses. One of those is Princess Cookie but I’m not sure this is her race. She is drawn wide and dropping to the minimum trip for the first time, expect her to be finishing strongly but coming up short.

Pink Martini is made for this test of speed and drawn in stall 4 she should be able to race prominently.

Last time out she won a 3 runner race and it the handicapper has struggled to judge that form by giving her an opening mark of 72.

At Lingfield she made all at a moderate gallop and was able to cover the final 2f in a rapid 21.83s, without being fully extended. That is a seriously fast sectional even accounting for the pace and she could be a useful sprinter.
