Pontefract Tips: Mappin Time
Can take advantage of a career low mark and good draw on his preferred ground.
Mappin Time races off a career low mark in the 5.15 Pontefract and should be able to take advantage on his preferred ground from stall 1.
The five-year-old needs 6f on fast ground to be at his best and he should get that this afternoon, where the official going is good, good to firm in places.
Tim Easterby has already had a few near misses with the horse this season. He wasn’t beaten far in two efforts at Haydock when interference cost him any chance of victory and it was a similar story earlier in the year at Doncaster.
This will be Mappin Time’s first visit to Pontefract but he’s won on a turning course before and looks overpriced at 12/1 (Boylesports).
