Temple Road was a useful horse on the all-weather last winter and he looks overpriced on his return to the track after 254 days.

The 6-year-old doesn’t strike me as the most hardy of souls, having just his 15th start this afternoon the long break could be viewed as a positive.

Last season he racked up three wins on the all-weather and was unlucky not to win a couple more. In one race he traded 1.01 in running, only to finish third when he seemed to injure himself. Then on his last all-weather start he was beaten 1.75 lengths in a class 4 handicap despite being badly hampered. 

Well drawn in stall 1 he should get a good tow into the race and if he is 100% fit he could go well at 11/1 (Boylesports).
