Wolverhampton Tips: Temple Road
Record following a win, when kept in the same grade is 1113 and ran a blistering 21.39s sectional last time.
Temple Road landed a massive gamble (and us a winning tip) on the final race of 2016 and he must be followed again.
The now 9-year-old showed tremendous acceleration to slice through the field with a 21.39s closing sectional, the seventh fastest at the track from the last 4644 runners.
Temple Road has often shone on the clock before, without backing it up but in victory I gave him an adjusted speed rating of 79 and he can afford to run much worse and still win the 5.45.
Temple Road’s record at Wolverhampton (1-11) is nowhere near as good as at Lingfield (7-27) but his record next time out after a win is 13091713, which improves to 1113 when turned out in the same grade – as he is today.
