Newmarket Tips: Hamza

Hamza returns to the UK with some very strong form under his belt. He finished a close sixth on World Cup night in Dubai and a repeat of that performance should see him win the 3.30 Newmarket.

As you would expect from a valuable Group 1, the form stacks up well. The jockey on Amber Sky set almost perfect fractions to lower the course record with Shea Shea perhaps the ‘unlucky’ horse on the night.

Hamza ran as well as expected, he couldn’t live with Amber Sky’s early pace and that blunted his finishing kick; he slowed slightly in the last 400 meters.

Down in grade but up in trip, he faces less pressure for the lead but should Jamie Spencer want to make all, we know the horse has the early pace.

Hamza is a previous course and distance winner and a big price at 7/2 (Bet365) considering his recent exploits.
