Newmarket Tips: Avon Breeze
Came from a hopeless position to score last time out, her second win in three starts this season.
Avon Breeze (5.00 Newmarket) has won two of her last three starts but I don’t think the handicapper has caught up with her yet.
She was raised 5lbs for her last win but is value for a more because she came from a hopeless position. After an awkward start, she was still 8 lengths behind the leaders turning for home. She displayed a tremendous turn of foot to make up the deficit and score, despite being hampered in the last furlong.
Having only her eighth career start this afternoon, the 4-year-old remains on a steep upwards curve and I doubt the handicapper has got her measure.
