Newmarket Tip: Estonia
Down in grade after an excellent fourth at Glorious Goodwood. Looks a cut above the rest.
Last time out Estonia put in a career best performance to finish fourth in a big handicap. Surprisingly it was only her fourth attempt on grass and a repeat performance should see her win the 5.45 at Newmarket.
On her first three turf starts, Estonia managed to beat a sum total of three horses. She then quashed fears about handling the green stuff when fourth in a class 3 race during Glorious Goodwood. Trainer Michael Squance must be delighted as it opens up many more avenues for this useful filly.
On the all weather she has racked up three wins, always enjoying rattling home off a fast pace. There are at least three confirmed front-runners in today’s race to set it up for her. Kieren Fallon takes the ride, which is another positive.
