Newmarket Racing Tips: Macdillon
Been running consistently well and a slightly unlucky loser on his last start.
Macdillon has proved ultra-consistent over the last couple of seasons. Since 2011 his record at 5f is: 12397222.
Both times he finished unplaced he had wretched draws, on tracks that have a strong bias. Last time out over course and distance he looked the most likely winner but a small nudge approaching the finish cost him crucial momentum and he finished second.
The key to the horse is an uninterrupted passage, coming from off a strong pace. He should get the gallop he needs with Whozthecat and Flash City the likely pacesetters.
He looks a winner in waiting and at 4/1 (Betfred) he is a fair price in the 5.10 Newmarket.
