Newbury Tips: Beausant
Buckled down in soft conditions to win at Bath and faces a similar test again.
The going at Newbury is forecast to be soft and the 2.35 contest could turn into a real slog. Conditions aren’t likely to suit everyone but they pose no problem for Beausant.
Last time out he ground down a moderate field to win in soft conditions by 1.75 lengths. He ran the fastest (least slow!) closing sectional by 0.66s and got through the mud better than anything else.
Newbury’s galloping track should suit his style of race and this lightly raced 4-year-old could defy a small rise in the weights.
