Newbury Tips: Angels Will Fall
Her Nunthorpe performance deserves a big upgrade due to a strong bias in the race.
The 3.45 Newbury is a soft Group 3 sprint and one that Angels Will Fall is capable of winning.
The key to this horse is judging her Nunthrope run, although she finished 13th she ran much better than the bare form. She raced in a little group of seven horses that started from high draws, unfortunately the race developed on the opposite side of the track, favouring those drawn low.
Stand Side Group
Since the Nunthorpe, two of the stand side group have come out and won, whilst Bated Breath and Dandy Boy finished third and fourth in the Group 1 Betfred Sprint Cup. On average the horses have improved 10lbs since York, proving how disadvantaged they were.
At 12/1 (Ladbrokes) the betting hasn’t factored in this discrepancy giving us a great value bet on Angels Will Fall.
