Newbury Racing Tip: Noble Storm

A more mature Noble Storm

This speedy type really found his form at the backend of last season. Expect there is more to come.

The 4.55 at Newbury is a sprint handicap open to horses rated up to 110 and often attracts high quality horses. One such horse is Noble Storm. Early in his career he was a one dimensional speed merchant, but he has become more rounded with age.

It is fair to say he disappointed for most of last season but towards the end he found some form. He was narrowly touched off in a big Doncaster handicap and then routed a decent field at Southwell. Both were signs that he has matured and can sustain his runs for longer.

Newbury is quite a testing track but there are no other prominent runners, so Noble Strom should be able to dictate the pace. The going stick currently reads 7.2, which suggests the ground will be riding no faster than good, also suiting the horse.

Connections will clearly have there sights set high, this might be the last handicap he contests. If he wins, Group races are next on the agenda.
